" Conversion to the Improved Standard Technical Specifications," dated December 13,1996 Commonwealth Edison (Comed) is providing the attached list of the generic Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF) changes which have not been approved by the NRC and are incorporated into the Byron and Braidwood ITS submittal currently under NRC review. To assist in expediting the process, and to support the November SER, Comed has prioritized the subject TSTFs based on our perceived importance. Those TSTFs annotated as having a "hi" priority, are believed to be critical to the implementation of ITS in addition to providing operational enhancement. Those TSTFs annotated as " low" also provide enhancement, however, not as critical.

Comed is ready to discuss or assist the NRC in resolving any issues involving these TSTFs at the NRCs earliest convenience.
