Docket Nos. STN 50-510 and 50-511

Dear Sirs and Madame:

After discussions among the pa.-ties to the proceeding, counsel for the State of Texas has informed me that there are no specific contentions which the State wishes to raise during the evidentiary hearings. :a will confirm this by letter to the Board. I am enclosing a related letter to counsel for the State of Texas. All parties have indicated that they are available for an evidentiary hearing during the week of May 7, 1979 and would suggest the hearing begin on Tuesday, May 8.

As requested by the Board, I have inquired as to candi-date sites for a hearing. I am informed that the Chateau Inn in Jasper has adequate facilities. In addition, both Newton and Jasper are county seats and have courthouses, but no inquiry has been made as to their availability.
