REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION On February 1, 1977, the Board of Directors of Omaha Public Power District (" Applicant") voted to cancel all contrccts for the construction of Fort Calhoun, Unit No. 2.

By letter dated May 5, 1978, Applicant asked the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board to hold in abeyance further proceedings with respect to the application for a construction permit for Unit 2. Applicant has now determined that no useful i      purpose will be served by continuing this proceeding, that its application should be withdrawn, and that the proceeding should be terminated.
