Documentation of the NRC staff review is enclosed.
As discussed in Management Directive 6.6, "Regulatory Guides,"
Based on the results of the periodic review, the staff concludes that RG 1.57 need not be updated until a further need arises for NRCs licensing activities and recommends to continue with the current version of the Regulatory Guide. However, if NRCs licensing activities presents a need for revision in the near future, the NRC staff will perform a complete review analyzing the need from the user office and provide a plan and timeframe to address the issues.
