The U.S. NRC announced its final design approval for the APR-1400 in October of last year: https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML1828/ML18283A102.pdf The U.S. NRC is currently in the final stages of completing a rule that will fully certify the APR-1400 for potential U.S. use. Please keep in mind the United Arab Emirates has its own nuclear regulator (https://fanr.gov.ae/en) and is therefore in the best position to discuss how the APR-1400 is being built and regulated in that country. Thank you.
