Pat, Thanks for the clarification.

I had understood that you were getting about a 1/2 gallon a minute.I will inform DOH about the low flow issue and let them decide if they want a 1/2 gallon or a gallon.I don't want to tie up everyone for that long if they can live with the 1/2 gallon.Actually, if they were able to do all the rad parameters with the original liter, we can probably limit this one to just the 1 liter amber glass PCB sample.I will let you know. Thanks Again, Tim>>> "Donahue, Patrick J" <PDonahu@entergy.com>

2/8/07 2:07:13 PM >>>Tim, My understanding from talking with the sample tech is that the well was at first providing 8 oz/min. However after purging the CSS well became rather unproductive.

As it is it took several hours to collect the one liter samples provided.

In the end I am hoping that it is just a matter of putting in the necessary time to obtain additional volume. I'll speak to GZA about our needs and stress importance of capturing the required volumes.Best, Pat From: Timothy Rice [mailto:tbrice@gw.dec.state.

IPEC CSS Split Sample Pat, Got your voice message and the address for the sample containers.

Entergy Indian Point Energy Center 450 Broadway, Suite 3 Buchanan, NY 10511 attn: Pat Donahue I will provide the address to DOH and they can send out the sample containers.

The issue is two-fold:-First, we only received 1 liter (we had been asking for 1 gallon. A 1/2 gallon is adequate w/o added analytes, but requires proper sequencing of analyses in the lab). 1 L is barely enough for all the rad parameters, and leaves no aliquot for contingencies.

-Second, our RCRA program would like to perform a PCB split for the CSS. DOH has agreed to perform the analysis for us and would like to use their own containers, so they will be sent to you.file://C:\temp\GW

}OOOO1 .HTM 04/09/2007 F'age z or z Yes, I would appreciate it if the NRC could observe this split, if possible.I am 'sending this e-mail to John White and Jim Noggle as well in case they would like to participate, and to determine if their Resident can accommodate us. If not I will get back to you to try to make other arrangements.

thanks, Tim file://C:\temp\GW100001.HTM 04/09/2007
