UNOPPOSED REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO APPEAL LBP-09-26 Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 2.323, Blue Ride Environmental Defense League, the Sierra Club, Tennessee Environmental Council, and We th e People ("Petitioners") hereby request a three-day extension of time, or until December 3, 2009, to appeal LBP-09-26 (November 19, 2009). In LBP-09-26, the Atomic Safety and Li censing Board granted Southern Alliance for Clean Energy's hearing request with respect to the operating license proceeding for Watts Bar Unit 2, but denied Petitioners' request for late intervention. Petitioners request an extension because the ten-day period for appealing LBP-09-26 falls during the period of the Thanksgiving holiday, when counsel for Petitioners has longstanding plans to visit with family members from out of town, and therefore has insufficient time to prepare the appeal. Counsel for the Tennessee Valley Authority a nd the NRC Staff have stated that their clients do not oppose this request.

Respectfully submitted, Electronically signed by Diane Curran Harmon, Curran, Spielberg & Eisenberg, LLP 1726 M Street N.W., Suite 600
