Request for CNS CSP Milestone 8 Implementation Schedule LAR DRAFT SE Review - SUNSI information (TAC No MF3631)

Mr. Van Der Kamp, The purpose of this email is to transmit the CNS CSP Milestone 8 Implementation Schedule LAR draft SE for your review for sensitive unclassified non-safeguards information (SUNSI).

Additionally, the purpose of this email is to inform you of the NRC staff's conclusion regarding the SUNSI-SRI marking in your submittal and supplement that the staff is taking exception to in its SE, and to request a response as to NPPD's agreement or disagreement. Licensee responses will be placed on the docket, since the intention is to make the SE publicly available.

The genesis of this request for draft SE review is due to recent issues regarding docketed correspondence containing SUNSI-SRI markings (specifically as they relate to the cyber security MS8 LARs under review) from licensees which contain SUNSI markings that the NRC staff takes exception to.

I have highlighted the portions of the draft SE which contain information in the SUNSI-SRI-marked portion of the NPPD application and supplement, but which the NRR staff take exception to (do not consider to be SUNSI-SRI).

Additionally, the conclusions stated in this draft document are preliminary and are subject to further staff review, until it is finally issued.

If possible, I'd appreciate your response by COB August 20, 2014. Please call or email if you have any questions.

Thank you, Andrea George Project Manager Nuclear Regulatory Commission Division of Operating Reactor Licensing
