ACRS ASSESSMENT OF THE QUALITY OF SELECTED NRC RESEARCH PROJECTS - FY 2017
Dear Mr. Weber:
Enclosed is our report on t he quality assessment of the fo llowing research projects:
- NUREG-2208, "Validation of Computational Fluid Dynamics Methods Using Prototypic Light Water Spent Fuel Assembly Thermal-Hydraulic Data"
- NUREG/CR-7222, "Tsunami Hazard Assessment Based on Wave Generation, Propagation, and Inundation Modeling for the U.S. East Coast" These projects were selected from a list of candidate projects su ggested by the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research. We found each to be a satisfactory and professional work that satisfies its respective research objectives.
We anticipate receiving a list of candidate projects for quality assessment in FY 2018 prior to our March 2018 meeting.
