Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure Revision Pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.54(q)(5), and 10 CFR 72.44(f),
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is submitting a description of changes to the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) Radiological Emergency Plan (REP). The affected document is the WBN Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure (EPIP) listed below:

Incorporated feedback from a Termination and Recovery drill.
Added official Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) notification mention in Instructions section and replaced conditional Emergency Notification System (ENS) step for NRC notification in Attachment 1 (Termination Guidelines) with NRC Coordinator step using Attachment 5 (NRC Notification).

* Added steps to Attachment 1 to establish Recovery Organization prior to terminating event and steps for logging termination, plant announcement, and deactivating the emergency facilities to mirror Sequoyah's EPIP-16 (Termination And Recovery).
* Moved step to collect event paperwork from Attachment 2 (Recovery Guidelines) to Attachment 1.
* Updated the map in Attachment 3 (Local Recovery Center).
The above change was evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3) and 10 CFR 72.44(f). TVA determined that the change did not reduce the effectiveness of the WBN REP . The WBN REP, as revised, continues to meet the requirements in Appendix E to 10 CFR 50 and the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b).
