Waterford SES Unit 3 Docket No. 50-382 NUREG 0737, Item II.B.3 Procedure for Prediction of Core Damage

W3P82-2579, dated September 21, 1982 Dear Sif Amongst the post-accident sampling provisions of NUREG 0737, Item II.B.3, is a requirement to develop a procedure for relating radionuclide gaseous and ionic species to estimate core damage. As we noted in the referenced letter, LP&L has been participating in a CE Owners Group project to develop a generic core damage estimate procedure. This task is now complete and the results have been incorporated it. a plant specific procedure for Waterford 3.
Enclosed please find NE-5-301 " Technical Procedure - Prediction of Core Damage". With transmittal of this procedure LP6L is in compliance with the subject license condition contained in Supplement 2 to the Waterford SER. We request that this license condition be reviewed and closed out in the next SER Supplement.
