(1) R. L. Tedesco to L. V. Maurin dated 3/27/82 (2) L. V. Maurin to R. L. Tedesco, W3P82-1107, dated 5/6/82 Reference (1) transmitted questions regarding the rapid depressurization and decay heat removal capability of the Waterford 3 design and requested a schedule for response. Reference (2) indicated that we would provide you with a finalized schedule when the CE Owners Group (CEOG) developed a program and schedule for answering the questions.
The CEOG has now begun work on the subject questions. As you know, a good deal of the work is plant specific, requiring a staggered schedule for completion on a plant by plant basis. The lead plant is San Onofre, Unit 2, which has scheduled its submission for June 30, 1983.
Waterford 3 will follow San Onofre. Based on their schedule we expect to provide the response for Waterford by August 15, 1983.
