RWST BORON CONCENTRATION At 8:35PM on February 19, 1986, the boron sample of the Unit 1 Refueling Water Storage Tank (RWST) was found to exceed the upper Technical Specification limit of 2200 ppm. The subsequent camples confirmed the out of specification concentration of 2284 ppm. At 9:34 PM the licensee d:clared an Unusual Event and began-reducing load in preparation for bringing Unit 1 to Hot-Shutdown in accordance with the Technical Specification Limiting Conditions for Operations.
Concurrently the licensee started adding primary water to the RWST. At 12:35 AM on February 20, 1986, the licensee terminated the unusual event as the primary standard used in bor:n analysis was determined to be faulty. The unit was at 65% power when the event was tsrminated and is currently        at 100% power.
Tha licensee has made a press release.
