SHUTDOWN GREATER THAN 48 HOURS TO REPAIR STEAM GENERATOR (SG) TUBE LEAK The-licensee comenced a unit shutdown and cooldown at 9:10 p.m. on January 9, 1987, to repair a small tube leak in the "A" SG. The plant was in cold shutdown at 7:18 a.m. on January 10, 1987. The licensee plans to have the unit back on line on January 18, 1987.
The licensee does not plan to issue a press release. The licensee will respond to news media inquiries.
The state of Arkansas has been infomed.
Region IV received notification of this occurrence by HQ operations officer and the SRI.
