LICENSING AND FUEL LOAD The River Bend Station received a low power license on the af ternoon of August 29, 1985.
The licensee is raking final preparations to comence fuel load. The licensee stated that fuel load would not start until the potential for heavy weather from hurricane Elena was resolved. The track of Elena now indicates that it will come ashore well east of the River Bend site. The licensee estimates actual fuei movement will commence at about 10:00 p.m. (CDT) on August 30, 1985. The SRI is r.onitoring licensee activities.
Both the licensee and the NRC issued press releases concerning the issuance of the license.
