CONSTRUCTION FATALITY On October 7,1985, a concrete finisher was killed in a fall while working on the interim radwaste storage facility under construction at the Zion plant site. The victim fell about 45 feet. The worker was outside the licensee's protected area and no contamination was involved in the incident.
The State of Illinois will be notified. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified by the licensee. This Preliminary Notification is issued for information only.
Region III (Chicago) was notified of the accident by the Senior Resident Inspector about 9 a.m., October 8, 1985. This information is current as of that time.
