SHUTDOWN EXPECTED TO EXCEED TWO DAYS
    ' A plant' shutdown commenced Thursday evening (4/23/87) after investigation determined th2 cause for the failure of an electromatic relief valve acoustic monitor (valve position indicator) was inside the drywell. The specific cause will be determined when the drywell becomes accessible af ter the plant cooldown and deinerting are complete.
    'Because of unrelated problems being experienced with drywell temperatures, plans are to                         i replace the five drywell recirculation fan wheels and cooling coils which is estimated                        '
to take two weeks. Other maintenance jobs will be worked in parallel, including dry-well wall thickness measurements.
The resident inspectors will follow activities onsite. This PN is issued for informa-tion only. The Itcensee has issued a press release. The State of New Jersey has been notified.
