UNPLANNED SHUTDOWN IN EXCESS OF 48 HOURS On October 15, 1986, at 5:34 p.m. the licensee manually scrammed Unit 2 and placed the unit in cold shutdown for 2A and 2B condensate pump repairs. The unit was in the run mode but at low power when the scram was initiated. Repairs to the E and G IRM channels and leak testing of the number 2 Traversing Incore Probe ball valve will be made while the unit is shutdown. The 2A condensate pump was inspected and is being reassembled. It will be returned to service on Sunday, October 19, 1986.                                        The 2B                1 condensate pump, which had a damaged thrust bearing will be returned to service on Tuesday, October 21, 1986. As of 8:00 a.n. October 17, 1986, Unit 2 was in cold shutdown at 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Startup is planned late Sunday, October 19, 1986 following return to service of the 2A condensate pump.
