On August 27, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations, initiated an Assist to Staff to obtain additional and clarifying information regarding performance of a reactor startup with a known failed Source Range Instrument at Turkey Point Unit 3.
The NRC completed the Assist to Staff and determined that there was no any indication of intentional wrongdoing by FPL personnel. We plan no further investigative actions toward Turkey Point with regard to this matter. Should you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact us.
Copies of documents related to this Assist to Staff may be requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
