Preparation and Scheduling of Operator Licensing Examinations Ladies and Gentlemen:
On February 17, 2022, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Regulatory Issue Summary (RIS) 2022-01, "Preparation and Scheduling of Operator Licensing Examinations." RIS 2022-01 requests that licensees voluntarily submit projections of their site-specific operator licensing examination schedules as well as the estimated number of applicants planning to take operator licensing and generic fundamental examinations for years 2023-2026.
Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) hereby provides as enclosures to this letter the requested information on NRC Form 536 for Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Units 1 & 2, Edwin I.
Hatch Nuclear Plant - Units 1 & 2, Vogtle Electric Generating Plant - Units 1 & 2, and Vogtle Electric Generating Plant - Units 3 & 4. The estimates provided represent SNC's current understanding but are subject to possible change in the future. These enclosures supersede previous, similar RIS responses.
