: 3) letter, M.J. Feyrer (GEH) to NRC Document Control Desk - Request for Change in NOV Response Date, 1/6/17 In a letter dated December 6, 2017 (Reference 3}, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Ll.C. (GEH) requested additional time until February 3, 2017 to respond to a Notice of Violation. The NOV requested a response within 30 days of the letter transmitting the NOV or by January 12, 2017.
Because the NOV was received by GEH on December 19, 2016 during the year-end holiday period, additional time is needed to assign resources to complete the required investigation, to determine the causes of the violations, identify longer term preventive actions and complete internal reviews of the NOV response.
