L-2021-097 ATIN: Document Control Desk Director, Division of Spent Fuel Management Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555-0001 Re:     Florida Power & Light Company Turkey Point Nuclear Plant Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Docket No. 72-62 10 CFR 72.48(d)(2) Summary Report In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 72.48(d)(2), Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) hereby submits the summary report of changes, tests and experiments for the Turkey Point Nuclear Plant Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) subject to evaluation in accordance with 10 CFR 72.48(c)(2). A record review for the current reporting period April 12, 2019 to November 17, 2020, determined that there were no changes, tests or experiments conducted requiring a 10 CFR 72.48 evaluation. However, a comprehensive ISFSI record review identified a 10 CFR 72.48 evaluation which was performed in April 25, 2018, as part of the 2018 ISFSI loading campaign. The attached report summarizes the evaluation and updates the previous 10 CFR 72.48(d)(2) Summai-y Report submitted to NRC by FPL letter L-2019-189, on October 7, 2019.
FPL is a general licensee pursuant to 10 CFR 72.210. Spent fuel transferred to the Turkey Point ISFSI, to date, has been conducted in accordance with Amendment 2 to Certificate of Compliance No. 1030.

L-2021-097 Attachment Turkey Point 10 CFR 72.48 Summary Report Current Reporting Period: April 12, 2019- November 17, 2020 10 CFR 72.48(d) (2) requires that each licensee submit a periodic report containing a brief description of ay changes test and experiments made or conducted at their Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) subject to evaluation in accordance to 10 CFR 72.48(c)(2).
For the current reporting period, Turkey Point ISFSI, a record review determined that there were no changes, tests or experiments conducted requiring an evaluation in accordance to 10 CFR 72.48(c) requirements.

A comprehensive ISFSI record review identified an evaluation which was performed in accordance to 10 CFR 72.48 (c) (2) requirements on April 25, 2018, as part of the 2018 ISFSI loading campaign.
The summary of this evaluation was not previously reported in FPL's letter L-2019-189, dated October 7, 2019. To update the submission record, the summary of the 10 CFR 72.48 (c)(2) evaluation is reported herein.
Summacy:
An evaluation was performed for foreign materials which existed in the fuel assemblies selected for loading into NUHOMS 32PTH Type 1 Dry Storage Canister (DSC) under the Certificate of Compliance 1030, Amendment 2 during the ISFSI 2018 loading campaign at Turkey Point Nuclear Plant.
10 CPR 72.48 Evaluation:
The proposed change was screened to address specific debris or foreign material that was found during the inspection. Section B 4.2.1 .3 of NEI 96-07 Guidelines for 10CFR 72.48 Implementation Revision 1, was used to determine if the presence of debris in the NUHOMS 32PTN Type 1 DSC creates a condition that would have an adverse effect on any design functions.
The evaluation determined that the type and amount of foreign material evaluated were acceptable for storage in the 32PTH DSC at Turkey Point. Based on the responses to the eight criteria of 10 CFR 72.48 (c)(2), it was determined that a specific license amendment was not required prior to implementation of the proposed change.}}
