Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) letter L-2020-104, dated September 18, 2020, Fifth Ten-Year Inservice Inspection Interval Turkey Point Unit 4 Relief Request No. 7 for Train A and B Component Cooling Water (CCW) Supply and Return Piping NRC's document management system (ADAMS) ML accession numbers: ML20266G309, ML20266G310 In Reference 1, FPL requested relief from the applicable American Society of Mechanical Engineers Section XI Code (ASME Code) requirements to repair certain sections of the degraded Turkey Point Unit 4 Component Cooling Water (CCW) supply and return piping by installing a welded proprietary repair device, PMCap Restoration Method - US Patent 6,860,297 without removing the sections of degraded piping.
The purpose of this letter is to notify NRC that based on the recent Turkey Point Unit 4 field data and examination results relief is no longer required. As such, FPL wishes to withdraw Relief Request No. 7 previously submitted in Reference 1.
