On December 3,1997, the Nuclear Regultsty Commission (NRC) published in the Federal Register concurrently as a propose.i tule (62 FR 63911) and as a direct final rule (62 FR 63825) with opportunity to comment, changes to the reguladons er criticality accident requirements contained in 10 CFR 50.68 and 10 CFR 70.24. In accordance wie the request for comments, Southem Nuclear Operating Company is in total agreement with the Nuclear Energy Institute comments which are to be provided to the NRC regarding this issue.
