In Reference 1 Entergy Operations Inc. (Entergy) submitted a request for an amendment to the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS), Unit 1. In this letter Entergy stated Procedure EN-WM-104, "On Line Risk Assessment," ensures procedural compliance with NUMARC 93-01, "Industry Guideline For Monitoring The Effectiveness Of Maintenance At Nuclear Power Plants" requirements and outlines the implementation structure for 10 CFR 50.65(a)(4) Maintenance Rule programs.

GNRO-2014/00084 Page 2 of 2 In Reference 3 Entergy stated based on reviewed Revision 4a of NUMARC 93-01, Procedure EN-WM-104, Revision 9and Procedure 01-S-18-6, Revision 13, Risk Assessment of Maintenance Activities and found no exceptions to the guidance contained in Revision 4a of NUMARC 93-01.
To clarify the statements made in Reference 1 and Reference 3, Entergy wishes to clearly state that it is committed to guidance contained in NUMARC 93-01, which provides guidance and details on the assessment and management of risk during maintenance.
The attachment to this letter contains the regulatory commitment made by Entergy in this letter.
