In Reference 1, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) submitted five inservice inspection (lSI) relief requests for the Diablo Canyon Power Plant Unit 2 third lSI interval for NRC approval. In Reference 2, the NRC Staff provided a request for additional information (RAI) via an e-mail, dated June 1, 2017. The Enclosure to this letter provides PG&E's response to the RAI.

Enclosure PG&E Letter DCL-17 -060 PG&E Response to NRC Request for Additional Information Regarding "Relief Requests NDE-SLH U2, NDE-LSL U2, NDE-LHC U2, NDE-LHM U2, and NDE-ONV U2" NRC Question:
Please provide information on whether any significant indications were found during the ultrasonic test inspections for those portions of the welds which were examined in the Unit 2, 2R19 refueling outage. Significant indications means those exceeding the requirements of ASME Code, Section XI, Subsection IWB-3500, and necessitating plant-specific flaw evaluations.

No indications exceeding the requirements of ASME Code, Section XI, Subsection IWB-3500, which would necessitate plant-specific flaw evaluation, were found during the ultrasonic test inspections for those portions of the welds which were examined in the Unit 2 Nineteenth Refueling Outage (2R19).}}
