File: 0260/0490/15020/15521/16694.4 Operational Quality Assurance Manual (MPL-TOP-1A) Organization Change AECM-86/0420 In compliance with the Mississippi Power & Light Company Operational Quality Assurance Manual (0QAM) MPL-TOP-1A, the following proposed organizational changes are submitted for yor- information and review. They involve no reduction in the Quality Assurance (QA) Program commitments or dilution of the independence of the organization.
These proposed changes include the transfer of control and performance of licensed activities from MP&L to a new nuclear generating company -- System Energy Resources, Inc. (SERI) -- which is the new name of Middle South Energy, Inc. (MSE) and the title " President & Chief Operating Officer" will become
            " President & Chief Executive Officer". Duties of this position as they relate to the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS) will remain unchanged. The MP&L nuclear organization will be transferred, virtually intact, to SERI and the same MP&L organization staff which is currently responsible for operating GGNS Unit I will continue those responsibilities as part of SERI.
