==Dear Sir:==

Florida Power Corporation (FPC) is submitting this letter to request that specific Engineered Safety Features Actuation System (E5a'AS) components be deleted from the requirement for ESFAS actuation. A prior request for removol of these components was made by FPC to the NRC in our {{letter dated|date=October 31, 1983|text=letter dated October 31, 1983}} (3F1083-25). FPC provided additional requested information to you in our {{letter dated|date=May 1, 1984|text=letter dated May 1,1984}} (3F0584-01). Subsequent to our letter, you responded with your letter of August 22,1984 (3N0884-32) in which you approved the removal of MUV-64 from ESFAS actuation. Your letter, however, did not address the requests we made in regard to the removal of other identified valves from ESFAS actuation.
Please respond to this request to remove these additional valves from ESFAS actuation by December 31, 1985 in order to permit proper Refuel VI project scheduling.
