Consumers Power Company letter dated April 28, 1983 and entitled Licensee Event Report 83-06 (SIRW Tank Support Structure Discrepancies) Update indicated that we would be performing quarterly inspection of the SIRW Tank support structure until the structural design fix is completed. To date, we have performed two inspections of the structure, one in the loaded configura-tion and one in the unloaded configuration. The present Palisades refueling outage schedule has this structure in a partially loaded configuration.                                 Since taking measurements in this condition vould not give any relevar.t information, it is our intent not to perform an inspection until such time as the structure is in a fully loaded condition. We will inform the NRC Resident Inspector of our inspection schedule well in advance of actual performance in order that the appropriate people from Region III can be contacted regarding their attendance.
