Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station Docket Number 50-254, DPR-29, Unit One Enclosr.d is Licensee Event Report (LER) 97-012, Revision 1, for Quad Cities Nuclear Perer Station. This event dealt with Due to Design Related Cognitiw Personnel Error, it is physically possible for the Unit 1 & 2 Refuel Bridge Monorail Auxiliary Hoists to perform core alterations without a Refuel Bridge Position interic,ck actuation.
This report is being submitted to make the following cor,aitments:
: 1.         The station has scheduled the preparation of a modification which will enforce the bridge position interlock for the monorail hoist. The modification is scheduled to be installed prior to the next refueling outage.        Due 070198.
: 2.         The procedures used to perform core alterations will be changed to prohibit use of the Monorail hoist explicit to core alterations. Due 011598.
