submitted pursuant to 10CFR50.73(a)(2)(i).                                                                                                j The following are Northeast Nuclear Energy Company's (NNECO's) commitments made within this letter. All other statements made within this letter are for information only.                                                       !
B16164-1 NNECO commits to identify by April 15,1997, critical radwaste components and                                                     I implement a preventative maintenance program to assure operability of these                                             i components. The system design basis will be revised to identify these critical components and specify their design requirements by August 22,1997.
B16164-2 NNECO commits to conduct a review of the present Liquid Radwaste Discharge system lineup to determine the appropriate configuration and modify the discharge                                       i procedures and system configuration as required to ensure the system is operated                                        1 within the design basis of the plant by March 31,1997.
B16164-3 NNECO commits to review Technical Specifications for occurrences where actuated equipment has only implied functional requirements due to association with systems (such as actuating instrumentation) in other sections of Technical Specifications or the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report and specify .the functional requirements for these components by April 30,1998.
