      - This letter forwards Licensee Event Report (LER) 96-035-02, documenting an event that occurred at Millstone Nuclest Power Station, Unit No.1 on May 6,1996. This LER is submitted pursuant to 10CFR50.73(a)(2)(i).
This s' pplemental report provides the results of the metallurgical sample from the gamma plug per commitment B15744-3 to determine the cause of the cracks found in the gamma access port
      - plug. The leaking gamma access port plug and some of the surrounding pipe were removed from the pipe. A metallurgical examination of the plug and surrounding pipe showed the crack was due
      - to Intergranular St.ress Corrosion Cracking. This commitment is complete.
There no commitments contained within this letter.
