Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Unit 2 Licensee Event Report No. 99-001-00 is being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.73(a)(2)(iv).
The following four NRC commitments are included in the Corrective Action section of this LER; no other NRC commitments are contained in this letter.
: 1. An every two weeks preventive maintenance task has 'been implemented to perform visual and acousticci observations of steam dump drain lines until the next Unit 2 refueling outage.
: 2. , A design change to further reduce the stress on the steam dump drain lines will be                     J implemented during the next Unit 2 refueling outage.                                                  I
: 3. Additional inspections will be performed on the Unit I steam dump drain lines, and the existing Unit I stress analysis will be reviewed. Ifnecessary, appropriate changes                )
will be implemented before the end of the next Unit I refueling outage.                               1
: 4. Appropriate design individuals will be trained on this event by August 31,1999.
