Notification of Design-Specific Preoperational Tests Ladies and Gentlemen:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)issued Combined Licenses (COLs) NPF-91 and NPF-92 to Southern Nuclear Operating Company(SNC) pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations(10 CFR) Section 52.97, "Issuance of combined licenses," on February 10, 2012.
License Condition 2.D.(2)(c) requires that SNC shall notify the Director of NRO, or the Director's designee, in writing, upon successful completion of the design-specific preoperational tests identified in Section 2.D.(2)(a) of this license.
Based on Amendment No. 171 to Facility Combined License No. NPF-91 for Unit 3 and Amendment No. 169 to Facility Combined License No. NPF-92 for Unit 4, there are no tests listed in Section 2.D.(2)(a). Therefore, this letter satisfies the notification requirement for License Condition 2.D.(2)(c).
