Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 BV-1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 BV-2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 Response to Generic Letter 2006-01, "Steam Generator Tube Integrity and Associated Technical Specifications" This letter provides the FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC)response to Generic Letter 2006-01 for Beaver Valley Power Station. The Generic Letter requests addressees to provide information related to actions that ensure steam generator tube integrity.
The information requested in Option 1 of the Generic Letter is hereby presented.
By letter dated November 7, 2005 (L-05-144), FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company requested amendments to the operating licenses for Beaver Valley Power Station (BVPS) Unit Nos. 1 and 2 in the form of changes to the Technical Specifications.
These license amendments were requested to satisfy a previous commitment regarding adoption of steam generator technical specification requirements consistent with Technical Specification Task Force 449, "Steam Generator Tube Integrity." License Amendment Request Nos. 324 and 196 (for BVPS Unit Nos. 1 and 2, respectively) submitted by the November 7, 2005 letter are consistent with Revision 4 of TSTF-449.No new regulatory commitments are contained in this submittal.
