- 1) The Fermi 2 annual testing rate in the Random Test Program for 1997 was 55% (average pool size was 1722, total tested was 946).
- 2) Detroit Edison does not have an on-site testing facility but transports specimens to a laboratory certified by the Department ofllealth and lluman Services.
REPORTS M ADE UNDER 10CFR26.73 There were no reports made under 10CFR26.73.
TESTING RESULTF.
There were three individuals who tested positive for the six month period ending December 31, 1997. The positive tests were categorized as follmvs:
Pre Access Testine A total of three individuals tested positive. One 1.icensee employee tested positive for marijuana. Two contract employees tested positive for marijuna. All of the individuals were denied access. The licensee employce was referred to the Employee Assistance Progra:n (EAP).
For Cause Testine There were no positive tests in this category during this six month period.
Random Tesiine There were no positive tests in this category during this six month period.
Follow-Un Testine There were no positive tests in this category during this six month period.

SUMMARY
OF MANAGliMl!NT ACTIONS There were no appeals acceived during this six month period.
There was one Condition Assessment Resolution Document (CARD) written identifying 10CFR26 Program deficiencies during this six month period.
CARD 9710577 documents that then."as a lack of chain of custody in the disposal of split specimens. Inadequate program design was ihntified as the probable cause.
