Reference:

NRC letter to Susquehanna, Follow-up to Inspection Procedure 71111.12 Inspection Report 05000387/2024012 and 05000388/2024012 and Preliminary White Finding and Apparent Violation, dated November 25, 2024 (ADAMS Accession No. ML24330A017).

By the reference letter dated November 25, 2024, the NRC documented a preliminary White finding and apparent violation related to the April 08, 2024, failure of the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (SSES) 'B' Emergency Diesel Generator. Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC (Susquehanna), acknowledges the description as detailed in the November 25, 2024 letter.

On November 26, 2024, Derek Jones, SSES Plant Manager, verbally notified Sarah Elkhiamy, NRC Region I Division of Operating Reactor Safety Branch Chief, of Susquehannas decision to not contest the violation or significance of the violation. This letter confirms that Susquehanna is not requesting a regulatory conference on this matter and will not be submitting a written response. Susquehanna understands that by declining to submit a written response or to arrange a regulatory conference, the preliminary assessment of significance will become final.

This letter contains no new or revised regulatory commitments.
