Zion Station Units 1 and 2 Application for Amendment to Facility Operating Licenses DD P-39 and DPR-48 Proposed Improved Tesnical Specifications NRC Docket Nos. 50-295 and 50-304 In previous submittals, Commonwealth Edison requested, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, a proposed amendment to Facility Operating Licerses DPR-39 and DPR-48. The proposed amendment would completely revise the Technical Specifications (Appendix A to the Operating Licenses), using the guidance provided in NUREG-1431 (September 1992),
" Standard Technical Specifications, Westinghouse Plants" to produce a set ofImproved Technical Specifications (ITS) for Zion Station.
The purpose of this submittal is to update the record copy of the Current Technical Specifications markup, the accompanying Discussion of Changes, Discussion of DifTerences, NUREG mark ups, and No Significant Hazards Evaluation changes to reflect recent review and comments by both Commonwealth Edison end NRC personnel.
This proposed supplement has been reviewed and approved by Commonwealth Edison Onsite and Offsite Review groups in accordance with Commonwealth Edison procedures.
There are no changes to the Environme: tal Assessment Statement, it is Commowealth Edison's evaluation that the changes to the No Significant Hazards Evaluatien are not required to be Noticed.
