Response to I&E Inspection Report 50-271/85-31 This letter is written in response to Reference b) which indicates that certain of our security related activities were not conducted in full compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements. These alleged Severity Level III violations were noted during a special inspection conducted by your Mr. G.C. Smith on September 24-26, 1985 at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, Vernon, Vermont.
l This letter forwards our response to the alleged violations contained in the Appendix to your letter. The Attachment contains safeguards information which should i
be withheld from public disclosure.
