Dear Dr. Murley:
The Shoreham Nuclear Power Station achieved initial criticality on February 15, 1985, however, no power ascension occurred during the 1st and 2nd quarters of 1985.
LILCO received a low power license (reference) to allow testing to 5% power on July 3, 1985.
In conjunction with our reporting responsibilities as outlined in Technical Specification 6.9.1.7, we are pleased to submit a copy of our Semiannual Radioactive Effluent Release Report (enclosure).
This report covers the periods from February 15, 1985 through March 31, 1985 as the first quarter and April 1, 1985 through June 30, 1985 as the second quarter.
