Attached please find Revision 1 of the Core Operating Limits Report (COLR) for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, for the current fuel cycle. In support of this, a copy of the Supplemental Reload Licensing Report for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, Reload 5, Cycle 6 (J11-02581SRLR, Revision 1), which describes the core and summarizes the results of the transient and accident analyses for the current cycle, is also attached.
The revision to the COLR incorporates revised Minimum Critical Power Ratio (MCPR) curves which were changed to compensate for the non-conservatism of the generic MCPR safety limit analysis. These changes have been incorporated through administrative controls and no violation of the limits has occurred. This non-conservatism was the subject of a 10 CFR 21 Reportable Condition notification made by GE Nuclear Energy in a letter to the NRC dated May 24,1996. The MCPR values in the revised COLR are 1
- based on an MCPR Safety Limit of 1.09 for two recirculation loop operation. This
- revised Safety Limit is the subject of a Technical Specification license amendment request to be submitted in the near future. is a copy of Revision 1 of the COLR for Cycle 6. Attachment 2 is a copy of the Supplemental Reload Licensing Report.
