SUBJECT:

Fort Calhoun Station (FCS) Incore Instrumentation Reference 2 summ.

.as a meeting on June 11, 1996, where NRC staff members and Omaha Public Power vistrict (0 PPD) personnel discussed the status of the incore instrumentation (ICI) system at FCS. As a result of this meeting and subsequent status changes in the ICI system, OPPD was requested to formally submit two relevant documents. Accordingly, the requested documents are attached. provides a change to OPPD procedure OI-NI-2 with supporting 10 CFR 50.59 evaluation which allowed continued operation with less than 75% but greater than 28% operable incore detector strings, effective March 1,1996. Attachment 2 is an OPPD evaluation of the ICI monitoring system dated August 9,1996 which determined operability of the system.
