Subject:

Revised Vermont Yankee Technical Specification Pages 1

In References (b) and (c) Vermont Yankee proposed changes to the Vermont Yankee Technical j

Specifications [ Appendix A of Reference (a)]. Reference (b) included a change to Technical Specification Bases section 3.3/4.3, paragraph A.1 which revised page 89 and created page 89a.

1 Reference (c) included a change to Technical Specification Bases section 3.3/4.3, paragraph B.1 which revised pages 89 and 90. In References (d) and (e), the NRC issued Amendments 148 and 149, respectively, approving the changes proposed in References (b) and (c). Following receipt of these amendments, Vermont Yankee notified your Staff that Amendment 149 did not reflect the changes made in Amendment 148 (see Attachments 1 and 2). Therefore, we have revised page 89a, Amendment 148, to incorporate the changes to pages 89 and 90 approved in Amendment 149. This i

revision of page 89a obviated the changes made to page 90 by Amendment 149. Therefore, page 90 will remain as it was prior to Amendment 149. For your convenience, current Technical Specification pages 89, 89a and 90 are provided in. Attachment 3.

As discussed with your Staff, this revision is acceptable since it is merely a reconciliation of two separate NRC approved changes and involves no changes to the Technical Specifications that have not been previously approved by the NRC.
