j The plant received notification from TVA's Division of Engineering Design that the one inch vent line on Unit 1 scram discharge volume was not semismically qualified.

This was based on analysis resulting from NRC IE Bulletin 79-14 inspection data.

Condit_ ions ' Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 at 75%

Unit 2 at 95%

Unit 3 at 80%

Action specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements met due te inoperable equipment. Describe.

3 The as-constructed piping configuration did not conform to design requirements.

l Analv.is of Occurrence:

There was no damage to plant equipment. There was no activity release, no personnel exposure or injury and no danger to the health or safety of the public.

Corrective Action

Three additional supports were added to the CRD scram discharge header vent lines putting the system in a " minimum potential for pressure boundary failure" category.
