Identification and Description of Occurrence:

The technical specification' limit of 13.32 Kw/ft for LHCR was. exceeded for two nodes. The nodes reached 13.52 Kw/ft.

Conditions' Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 at 98% power Unit 2 refueling Unit 3 at 99% power Action specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements met due to inoperable equipment. Describe.

NA Apparent Cause of Occurrence:

A slow long term xenon transient caused by preconditioning flow increase. _

Analysis of Occurrence:

There was no damage to plant equipment. There was*no activity release, no personnel exposure or injury and no. danger to the health.or safecy of the public.

Corrective Action

The rod group closest to the limiting location was inserted from position 1

40 to.36.
