Date of Occurrence 12/30/80 Time of Occurrence 2330 Unit.

1 Identification and Description of Occurrence:

Operations personnel observed that,"C" SBGT train relative humidity heaters did not function properly. This report is applicable to unit 2 and 3 also.

Conditions' Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 @ 80% power.

Unit 2 @ 100% power

- Unit 3 Refueling Action specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements met due to inoperable equipment. Describe.

SI 4.7.B.3 was performed on trains "A" and "B".

Apparent Cause of Occurrence-Open switch circuit.

Analysis of Occurrence:

There was no danger to the health or safety of the public, no release of activity, no damage to plant or equipment and no resulting significant chain of events.

Corrective Action

Repaired switch ci'rcuit, performed SI 4.7.B-3 to prove operability of "C" train and returned to service.
