Identification and Description'of Occurrence:

I Continuous air monitor 1-90-250 for the reactor building ventilation'was declared inoperable due to the iodine channel indicating down scale.

l Conditions ' Prior to Occurrence:

Lhit 1 at 97 We Lbit 2 - refuelinF Unit 3 at 89% We Action specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements met due to inoperable equipment. Describe.

Temporary sampling was initiated by the Chemical Laboratory.

l Apparent Cause of Occurrence:

Moisture collected in sample lines due to condensation.

' Analysis of Occurrmee:

There was no damage to plant equipment. There was no activity release, no personnel exposure or injury and no danger to the health or safety of the public.

Corrective Action

The moisture was removed from the sample line, the CAM was functionally tested and returned to service. Desigtt' change request.(DCR) 2127 will add heat traces to the sample lines to prevent condensv: ion.
