A shock of this nature has been known to cause this type of trans-mitter to change its electrical output. To check the operability of the transmitter the applicable nortion of a plant surveillance procedure was then satisfactorily performed which confirmed the proper operation of associated o'verpressure protection circuitry.

During normal plant operating conditions, this overpressure protection circuitry is disabled and PORV actuation is a function of the reactor protection system. .
