  • ATTACHMENT TO LER 79-il5/03L-0 Page'l of 1 During normal operation, personnel noted low flow alarms associated with the stack gas radiation monitor system. Investigation revealed that the sample line was apparently plugged thus continuous monitoring of the stack gas as re-quired by Technical Specifications Appendix A, Paragraph 3.2.3.0 was not possible.

Check out of the heat tracing associated with the sample line did not indicate any failure and no other cause for the apparent plugging of the sample line could be found. Following blow down of the sample line with nitrogen, normal operation of the monitoring system was restored approximately nine (9) hours later. The event did not represent any significant hazard to the public health and safety.
