Pursuant to 10 CFR 52.99(c)(3), Southern NuclearOperating Company hereby notifies the NRC that as ofApril 6, 2018,Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 3 and Unit 4 Uncompleted Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC) Item 2.6.02.02b [Index Number 594]
has not been completedgreater than 225-days prior to initial fuel load. The Enclosure describes the plan for completing this ITAAC. Southern Nuclear Operating Company will, at a later date, provide additional notifications for ITAAC that have not been completed 225-days prior to initial fuel load.
This notification is informed bythe guidance described in NEI 08-01, Industry Guideline forthe ITAAC Closure Process Under 10 CFR Part 52, which was endorsed by the NRC in Regulatory Guide 1.215. In accordance with NEI 08-01, this notification includes ITAAC for which required inspections, tests, oranalyses have not been performed or have been only partially completed. All ITAAC will be fully completed and all Section 52.99(c)(1) ITAAC Closure Notifications will be submitted to NRC to support the Commission finding that all acceptance criteria are met prior to plant operation, as required by 10 CFR 52.103(g).
This letter contains no new NRC regulatory commitments.

Inspections. Tests. Analyses Testing of each as-built battery will be performed by applying a simulated or real load, or a combination of simulated or real loads. The test will be conducted on a battery that has been fully charged and has been connected to a battery charger maintained at 135 +/- 1 Vfor a period of no less than 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> prior to the test.
Acceptance Criteria The batteryterminal voltage is greater than or equal to 105 V after a period of no less than 2 hours2.314815e-5 days <br />5.555556e-4 hours <br />3.306878e-6 weeks <br />7.61e-7 months <br />, with an equivalent load greater than 850 amps.
ITAAC Completion Description Testing is performed in accordancewith Unit 3 and Unit 4 component test packagework orders (References 1 and 2, respectively) to verify that each Non-Class 1Edirect current (dc) and Uninterruptible PowerSupply System (EDS) loadgroup 1, 2, 3, and 4 battery suppliesthe corresponding dc switchboard bus loadfora period of2 hours without recharging.
Abattery service test, as defined in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
Standard450-1995, is performed using a load bankto apply a loadon the batterythat results in a discharge current greaterthan 850 amps.The component test is performed on each fully charged as-built EDS battery thathas beenconnected to a charger maintained at 135+/- 1Vfor a period ofno lessthan 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> prior tothetest. The EDS battery isdisconnected from the battery charger anda load bank isthenconnected totheoutput ofthe battery, adjusted to a discharge current greater than850 amps. Discharge current and battery terminal voltage at the start ofthe test and upon completion ofthe 2-hour test are recorded on data sheets included in the component test packagework orders (References 1 and 2). The EDS battery discharge currentand terminal voltage measurements are summarizedinAttachment A and demonstrate that each EDS battery meets the acceptance criteria.

This review found there are no relevant ITAACfindings associated with this ITAAC.
